SAN JOSE, CA – December 9, 2009 — Tensoft, a leading end-to-end ERP and supply chain solution provider for the high tech industry, announced today a new version of its Tensoft Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) product. “Based on feedback we’ve received from our customers and partners, customization, security, web services and usability are the watchwords of Tensoft RCM 5.0,” said Tensoft President and CEO, Bob Scarborough.
New RCM 5.0 streamlines the user interface, enhances security and makes the product easier for customers to customize based on their unique requirements:
New Menu System – RCM 5.0’s new visual menu system makes navigation faster while allowing customers to more easily add customized reports directly into the menu system. Comfortable new look-and-feel additions, such as a personal home page, “favorites” and the ability to use multiple windows simultaneously add to the application’s usability.
Improved Reporting – Upgraded reports include easy-to-use user-customizable options and a more intuitive look-and-feel. Additionally, RCM 5.0 allows customers to forecast revenue that has not yet been amortized through Microsoft Dynamics GP. The application takes contract information into the system to determine both the projected billings and revenue, and combines that with the deferred revenue forecast for what already exists. This gives customers an accurate revenue picture, based on the deals already booked – whether or not some revenue is still deferred.
Enhanced Security Features – Expanded granular security features allow customers to define and limit role-based groups and assign appropriate levels of system access. The active directory-based security supports both internal processes and audit-based controls. For end users, this means single-sign-on access for the same high level of security. For IT administrators, this means assured management control with less effort – the company’s server based security/permissions/access control model also controls access to RCM 5.0.
Improved Web Services – RCM 5.0’s utilizes a web service as the means to easily connect and share information with outside systems, such as a company website or other internal system with which customers need to integrate.
“We’re encouraged with the way the market has accepted our RCM product this past year,” Scarborough added. “As revenue streams become more complex, so do business needs around billing, contract and revenue management. And for the future, we’re planning to roll out new functionality in regularly scheduled quarterly Feature Packs, paired with new versions delivered on an annual basis.”
Tensoft RCM 5.0 is available immediately and can be purchased directly from Tensoft, or through select Microsoft Dynamics GP partners. For more product details, go to Tensoft RCM or contact Tensoft for pricing and more information.
