Fabless Semiconductor Customers Include Tundra Semiconductor, Cortina Systems, Fortemedia and Others
SAN JOSE, CA – February 2, 2006 — Tensoft, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain specialists for the fabless semiconductor industry, today announced that it logged record sales in the quarter ending December 2005.
“Customers are responding to Tensoft’s strategy of providing a closely integrated ERP solution, which has become critical for companies that need to meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance now, or those that need to plan for it in the future,“ said Bob Scarborough, CEO of Tensoft. ”Our sales volume continues to build, as more companies come to appreciate the operations efficiency, functionality and value our ERP solutions offer.”
The record quarter included sales to a number of key industry fabless semiconductor companies, three of which are outlined below:
Tundra Semiconductor Corporation wanted to minimize the risk, time and cost associated with implementing a complex Tier 1 ERP system. “As a semiconductor company, it is very important that our core financials integrate with manufacturing operations to efficiently manage our supply chain and serve our customers better,” said Keith Oscroft, Director, Information Systems for Tundra Semiconductor.
Cortina Systems needed fabless industry-specific functionally that satisfied the requirements of both their operations and finance teams. “Using Microsoft-Great Plains for core financials and Tensoft FSM for fabless manufacturing operations enables both teams to focus on what we do best, since the integration keeps both systems updated automatically,” said Bruce Margetson, Chief Financial Officer for Cortina Systems.
Fortemedia, Inc. required a solution to integrate and streamline business processes for both the operations team in Taiwan, and the finance team in the US. “Tensoft’s ERP solution assures us of smooth manufacturing operations as well as compliance with financial and statutory regulations,” said Tom Hsia, Fortemedia’s Vice President of Operations.
