Tensoft Fabless Semiconductor Management (FSM) customers from Asia, Europe and high tech centers around the US converged yesterday for the first day of Momentum 2015. After the morning kick-off meeting, we heard from three Tensoft customers – both in finance and operations – who shared their experience and accumulated wisdom as Tensoft FSM users. Then the group broke up to attend a selection of break-out sessions, including “Efficient Operations,” “Inventory and Month-end Closing,” and “Dynamics Dashboards and Analytics.” We ended the day all together again, for an engaging group competition and learning session, an electronic version of the infamous supply chain simulation called “The Beer Game.” We ended the day with a relaxing evening out at Pacific Catch.
Day Two of Momentum 2015 promises to be equally productive and stimulating, starting with a session on the new Sales Order module. There will be more break-out sessions today, including a hands-on Planning lab and “Advanced Close and Cost Accounting.” After lunch we’ll be hearing from guest speaker Stephen Ambler from RoseRyan on “Trends in the Corporate Business World,” followed by a much anticipated session on “Presenting Operational Date Using Microsoft BI.” As always, Day Two will close out with a Product Direction and Wish List session, where users can see their requests put into action.
This year’s Momentum has been a great opportunity for networking and idea-sharing between customers as well. While we had one attendee who was actually at our very first Momentum – ten years ago – many attendees this year are here for the first time, and have been taking full advantage of all of the learning opportunities available at this busy conference. We hope to see everyone back next year!
