At Tensoft, customer feedback is one of the key drivers of our product roadmap. We regularly gather feedback from customers and develop features/enhancements based on their industry specific needs. A recent example of this is setting up supplier integrations in Tensoft SemiOps to automate chip or wafer probe.
Traditionally, suppliers treat the wafer and probe steps as a single process, reporting both the total die and the yield loss (broken or unusable die) together. Tensoft SemiOps treats the wafer step separate from the probe step and does not consume partial wafers. This new functionality separates out the wafer step in its own separate receipt as one line and then the actual chip probe as a second line where you record the yield loss and then translate into die.
It is most useful for customers who have production releases that are in different stages and want to put the same stage such as die and wafer in the same Prod release. It is able to create receipts automatically and put it into SemiOps.
Error Handling and Automated Receipts
The Supply Chain Integration screen in SemiOps acts as the error checking screen for when a receipt comes in from a supplier. In most cases, the first receipt won’t land here because there won’t be any errors on the line. But the second receipt that you create in the die step will be stuck here until you accept the first receipt. It will display a message of not having enough quantity on the product.
Once you accept that first receipt, you will then be able to come in on this screen and reprocess with a click of a button and the second receipt will be ready for you to process as well.
This mapping can be manipulated further, and small changes can be made in the process to meet the specific needs of customers. This integration allows you to receive wafers, account for the yield loss and enter them in die form all through integration.
