He references a Tensoft customer who was acquired by a larger company outside the US and explains how Tensoft was able assist the companies in making a seamless transition in less than four months. “What do I like best about working with high tech companies? Well, working with high tech companies can be very challenging because in the business world the tech industry moves very fast. Our customers businesses are changing and they demand us to keep pace with them. It is very challenging in that regard. Often times we have customers that may be acquired by new companies.
One of the recent projects that come to mind demonstrating this is we have a customer who was recently acquired by a much larger company. The acquiring company came in, they have a different financial system, they aren’t based in the US, and they wanted an integration of our customer’s current financial systems and operations, Tensoft FSM software. They wanted that integrated into the ERP system at their headquarters.
So we had a very short window, we spec’d it out and laid out the flow of information. We had to engage with our data center partner to enable security and VPNs. We had basically four months to get it all done. We were able to pull our team together, get the resources, line up the technologies, get our data center partner in line, and completed the project on time. The acquiring customer very happy, we’ve had other referrals from them since that. Our direct customer was very happy, because their staff was still able to use our software and had the information that they needed to continue their day-to-day jobs.”
